In the British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of auction, the work A Corner in Rye, Sussex sold for GBP 528.75 (€ 765.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Wesson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thames barges racing on the estuary in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,240.00 (€ 4,702.68).
