Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edward Steel Harper could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian, British and Impressionist Art auction, the work Where The River Torridge Meets Her Sister Taw changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Other works by Edward Steel Harper have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May last year by the work Dockers by a paddle steamer at USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,425.78).
