Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 570.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Steel Harper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dockers by a paddle steamer, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,425.78).
