Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected New York images by Edward Pfizenmaier for USD 1,912.00 (€ 1,773.82). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Pfizenmaier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, 1954, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,977.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected New York images von Edward Pfizenmaier für USD 1.912,00 (€ 1.773,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Pfizenmaier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, 1954 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.977,39) versteigert wurde.
