Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Still Hunt by Edward Kemeys for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,719.23). This price was achieved in the auction The New York Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward Kemeys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Coyote' in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Still Hunt von Edward Kemeys für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.719,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The New York Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Kemeys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Coyote' im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92).
