Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chief Sitting Bull (Tatanka-Iyotanka) by Edward Kemeys was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,732.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Kemeys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Coyote' in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chief Sitting Bull (Tatanka-Iyotanka) von Edward Kemeys kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.732,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Kemeys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Coyote' im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92).
