It achieved a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,755.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Henry Corbould - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cold, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 17,446.62).

Die Arbeit Britishamor Vincit Omnia von Edward Henry Corbould wurde im Dezember 2009 in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.755,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Corbould mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cold beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 11.950,00 (€ 17.446,62) versteigert wurde.
