The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,556.72), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Henry Corbould - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cold, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 17,446.62).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.556,72) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
