The work Britishamor Vincit Omnia by Edward Henry Corbould was sold in the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,556.72), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Henry Corbould - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cold, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 17,446.62).

Die Arbeit Britishamor Vincit Omnia von Edward Henry Corbould wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.556,72) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Corbould mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cold beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 11.950,00 (€ 17.446,62) versteigert wurde.
