Admittedly, works by Edward Hargitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The River Tay at Newburgh in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,285.00 (€ 11,592.73).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.506,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Hargitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The River Tay at Newburgh im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.285,00 (€ 11.592,73).
