Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A scene in Scotland by Edward Hargitt was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 564.00 (€ 921.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hargitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The River Tay at Newburgh in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,285.00 (€ 11,592.73).
