Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work A Figure And Cattle In An Extensive Highland Landscape by Edward Hargitt for GBP 750.00 (€ 808.76). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hargitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The River Tay at Newburgh in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,285.00 (€ 11,592.73).

Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Figure And Cattle In An Extensive Highland Landscape von Edward Hargitt für GBP 750,00 (€ 808,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Hargitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The River Tay at Newburgh im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.285,00 (€ 11.592,73).
