Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Six Horses Moving Uphill to the Right and Charging Steer (a group of two) by Edward Borein for USD 828.75 (€ 781.69). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Borein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding a Young One in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 123,733.21).
