Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Up Short!; Grass Hunters, No. 1; Sioux Chief (Galvin 6; 28; 159), n.d. by Edward Borein was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,933.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Borein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding a Young One in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 123,733.21).

Die Arbeit Up Short!; Grass Hunters, No. 1; Sioux Chief (Galvin 6; 28; 159), n.d. von Edward Borein kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.933,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Borein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riding a Young One im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 123.733,21).
