Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work On the Move; Race to the Wagon, No. 1; Ride 'Im Cowboy (Galvin 33; 42; 67), n.d. by Edward Borein. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,346.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Borein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding a Young One in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 123,733.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Move; Race to the Wagon, No. 1; Ride 'Im Cowboy (Galvin 33; 42; 67), n.d. von Edward Borein zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.346,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Borein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riding a Young One im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 123.733,21).
