Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street, which included the work The Uplands Of Ceres by Edward Arthur Walton. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,581.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Arthur Walton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 142,913.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Uplands Of Ceres von Edward Arthur Walton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.581,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Arthur Walton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 142.913,46).
