In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work The Finish of A Good Run by Edward Algernon Stuart Douglas. The price achieved of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,025.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Finish of A Good Run is the most expensive artwork by Edward Algernon Stuart Douglas that we have observed at auctions so far.
