Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pareja by Eduardo Kingman was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,907.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Kingman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sin Título in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 82,322.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pareja von Eduardo Kingman kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.907,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo Kingman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sin Título im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 82.322,36).
