Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work La monja by Eduardo Kingman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 10,146.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Kingman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sin Título in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 82,322.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit La monja von Eduardo Kingman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 10.146,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo Kingman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sin Título im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 82.322,36).
