Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eduardo Frederico de Martino achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2004. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction, the work Malamocco, Venice; Tamigi; Quebec, Canada; Buenos-Ayres; Sydney; and New Zealand sold for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,264.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Frederico de Martino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Entente Cordiale: The Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III reviewing the Anglo-French fleet in Cowes Road, 1905 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33).
