Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Prince Henry of Prussia's yacht Irene lying on her mooring off a pier by Eduardo Frederico de Martino. The price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,318.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Frederico de Martino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Entente Cordiale: The Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III reviewing the Anglo-French fleet in Cowes Road, 1905 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33).
