Auction result misses estimated price range

In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work The new H.M.S. Inflexible at sea on her trials, September 1880 by Eduardo Frederico de Martino for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,481.24). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Frederico de Martino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Entente Cordiale: The Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III reviewing the Anglo-French fleet in Cowes Road, 1905 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The new H.M.S. Inflexible at sea on her trials, September 1880 von Eduardo Frederico de Martino für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.481,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
