Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Little Bit At Spezia (Illustrated); And Two Studies of Steam Yachts by Eduardo Frederico de Martino was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 96.00 (€ 140.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Frederico de Martino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Entente Cordiale: The Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III reviewing the Anglo-French fleet in Cowes Road, 1905 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33).
