Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Colors of Nature V by Eduardo Bortk. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,913.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduardo Bortk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colors of Nature I, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,930.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colors of Nature V von Eduardo Bortk zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.913,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Bortk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colors of Nature I beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.930,96) versteigert wurde.
