Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Ice by Edouard Frère for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,621.27). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Frère achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feeding the children in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 15,275.00 (€ 23,920.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The Ice von Edouard Frère für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.621,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edouard Frère erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Feeding the children im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.275,00 (€ 23.920,86).
