Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Preparing For The Hunt changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,457.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shéhérazade in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 178,611.30).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shéhérazade im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 178.611,30).
