Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bird Flew Away by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter was sold in the Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shéhérazade in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 178,611.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Bird Flew Away von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shéhérazade im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 178.611,30).
