Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A seat in the shade by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,918.29), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shéhérazade in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 178,611.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A seat in the shade von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.918,29) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shéhérazade im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 178.611,30).
