This work of art by Edmund William Greacen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Winter Stream changed hands for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,271.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund William Greacen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Day At The Beach, Watch Hill in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 64,255.70).
