This artwork by Edmund Walker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2010. In the Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera auction, the work The Great Exhibition of All Nations, 1851: Looking along the Main Avenue of the Crystal Palace from the west looking towards the east and showing the exact position of the world's produce; and View of the Tansept of the Great Exhibition Building, Hyd sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,048.12) - well above the upper estimate of However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Walker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Crystal Palace, Hyde Park, London, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17).
