Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Peeping Through the Blinds by Edmund Tarbell. The price achieved of USD 113,400.00 (€ 100,469.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Tarbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Margaret Under the Elms in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 534,000.00 (€ 631,578.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peeping Through the Blinds von Edmund Tarbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 100.469,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Tarbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Margaret Under the Elms im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 534.000,00 (€ 631.578,95).
