In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The Smiling Girl by Edmund Adler. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,750.00 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edmund Adler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Secret in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).

Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Smiling Girl von Edmund Adler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.750,00 und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Adler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Secret im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97).
