The work The Bird Cage by Edmund Adler was sold in the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,948.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Adler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Secret, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.948,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Adler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Secret beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97) versteigert wurde.
