Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmond Yon could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work An elegant lady sitting by the riverbank changed hands for EUR 1,250.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmond Yon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures resting along a Riverbank in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,806.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmond Yon konnte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit An elegant lady sitting by the riverbank für EUR 1.250,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmond Yon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures resting along a Riverbank im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.806,26).
