Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmond Yon could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A bowl of grapes, a silver coffee pot, a pheasant, a vase of flowers and apples on a draped table changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 422.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmond Yon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures resting along a Riverbank in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,806.26).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A bowl of grapes, a silver coffee pot, a pheasant, a vase of flowers and apples on a draped table für GBP 375,00 (€ 422,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmond Yon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures resting along a Riverbank im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.806,26).
