Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Frog Baby' by Edith Barretto Parsons was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in October 2003. The price achieved of USD 11,950.00 (€ 10,293.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edith Barretto Parsons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Duck Baby': A Fountain in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 45,410.00 (€ 43,309.49).
