Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Duck Baby by Edith Barretto Parsons was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edith Barretto Parsons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Duck Baby': A Fountain, which sold at auction in December 2002 for USD 45,410.00 (€ 43,309.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Duck Baby von Edith Barretto Parsons wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edith Barretto Parsons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Duck Baby': A Fountain beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für USD 45.410,00 (€ 43.309,49) versteigert wurde.
