Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Indian Man) by Edgar Samuel Paxson for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,746.29). This price was achieved in the auction The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman Collection Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Samuel Paxson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Indian Man) von Edgar Samuel Paxson für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.746,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman Collection Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Samuel Paxson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The War Party im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 283.500,00 (€ 264.187,87).
