In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures, which included the work Loch Lomond by Edgar Longstaffe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,228.12), 46% above the upper estimate. With this result, Loch Lomond is even the most expensive work of art by Edgar Longstaffe that we have observed at auctions so far.
