Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work A boy by a pool in a mountainous landscape, with cattle by Edgar Longstaffe for GBP 375.00 (€ 422.31). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Longstaffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Lomond in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,228.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A boy by a pool in a mountainous landscape, with cattle von Edgar Longstaffe für GBP 375,00 (€ 422,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Longstaffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loch Lomond im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.228,12).
