It achieved a price of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,558.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Admittedly, works by Edgar Bundy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Despatches - Is He Mentioned? in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,528.30).
