Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art Online, which included the work Street scene with the Sidi Youssef Dey Mosque, Tunis by Edgar Bundy. The price achieved of GBP 512.00 (€ 512.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Bundy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Despatches - Is He Mentioned? in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,528.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Street scene with the Sidi Youssef Dey Mosque, Tunis von Edgar Bundy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 512,00 (€ 512,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Bundy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Despatches - Is He Mentioned? im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.528,30).
