The work Porte Parapluie, Vers 1930 by Edgar Brandt was worth EUR 18,750.00 to a buyer in November 2010. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Decorative Arts & Design at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edgar Brandt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Unique Merle Sculpture sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of USD 37,812.50 (€ 33,409.17).
