Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cobra by Edgar Brandt was auctioned at Christies in Paris in April 2006. The price achieved of EUR 2,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unique Merle Sculpture in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,812.50 (€ 33,409.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cobra von Edgar Brandt kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unique Merle Sculpture im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.812,50 (€ 33.409,17).
