The work Mirror Miroir by Edgar Brandt was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. The result of EUR 6,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unique Merle Sculpture in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,812.50 (€ 33,409.17).

Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis

Die Arbeit Mirror Miroir von Edgar Brandt kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unique Merle Sculpture im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.812,50 (€ 33.409,17).
