Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Giving Herself A Caesarian Section 3 by Eddie Peake. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,113.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Peake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Modern Woman Ii, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,912.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Giving Herself A Caesarian Section 3 von Eddie Peake zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.113,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddie Peake mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Modern Woman Ii beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.912,43) versteigert wurde.
