Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Smiling Bacchante 1 by Eddie Peake was sold in the Phillips x Artsy: Wrapped/Unwrapped auction at Phillips in an online auction in December 2019. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,566.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Peake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern Woman Ii in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,912.43).
