A top price for Eddie Kang
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale, which included the work In the Woods by Eddie Kang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 189,000.00 (€ 20,530.30), 58% above the upper estimate. This high result makes In the Woods the most expensive artwork by Eddie Kang that we have observed at auctions so far.
