Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Two People in Modern Composition) by Eddie Arning was sold in the Outsider and Vernacular Art auction at Christies in January this year. The price achieved of USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,740.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Arning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tricia Got Her Rose Garden, It Was the Only Thing to Do After the Mule Died, and Untitled (Crow with Yellow Background), circa 1975-1970, three drawings, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,547.93).
