Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl at Beach by Eddie Arning was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,690.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Arning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tricia Got Her Rose Garden, It Was the Only Thing to Do After the Mule Died, and Untitled (Crow with Yellow Background), circa 1975-1970, three drawings, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,547.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl at Beach von Eddie Arning kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.690,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddie Arning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tricia Got Her Rose Garden, It Was the Only Thing to Do After the Mule Died, and Untitled (Crow with Yellow Background), circa 1975-1970, three drawings beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.547,93) versteigert wurde.
