Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,028.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Arning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tricia Got Her Rose Garden, It Was the Only Thing to Do After the Mule Died, and Untitled (Crow with Yellow Background), circa 1975-1970, three drawings, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,547.93).

Die Arbeit Abstract Composition on Green von Eddie Arning kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.250,00 (€ 2.028,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddie Arning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tricia Got Her Rose Garden, It Was the Only Thing to Do After the Mule Died, and Untitled (Crow with Yellow Background), circa 1975-1970, three drawings beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.547,93) versteigert wurde.
